| Founder of blue planet multicultural, Cat is driven by a passion for languages
and a personal mission to 'save planet earth'! Whilst not claiming total
fluency in any one language, she continues to study and attempts to
communicate in as many languages as possible including English (her mother
tongue), Catalan, Spanish, Japanese, French, German, and more! With an
honours degree in Modern Languages, Cat's professional background is in
business management, sales and marketing (logistics, publishing and
exhibitions) and since 1993 has taught languages, trained teachers in
TESOL techniques, and worked as a professional translator in Italy, Japan
and Catalunya, Spain, where she now lives. Through blue planet multicultural,
Cat would like to share her vision of a harmonious planet where courteous
people make the effort to learn and practise other people's languages and
culture, thus promoting mutual understanding, cooperation and peace. She
would like to raise awareness, through information, education and
communication, of the very real peril our beautiful blue planet finds
itself in and to encourage people to play some part, however small, in
preserving that planet for future generations. By choosing to use blue
planet multicultural, you choose to play a part. |

| “The Earth was small, light blue, and so touchingly alone,
our home that must be defended like a holy relic.” Aleksei Leonov,
USSR. |
| |
| “Before I flew I was already aware of how small
and vulnerable our planet is; but only when I saw it from space, in
all its ineffable beauty and fragility, did I realize that humankind’s
most urgent task is to cherish and preserve it for future generations.”
Sigmund Jahn, German Democratic Republic. |
